Roger S. Huggins

roger-huggins-full-imageRoger Huggins, President/CEO heads up the strategic direction and growth of the company overseeing operations management and long range planning. He assumed this position in 1985 having previously been involved in the field and project management areas of the company since 1978. He plays an active role in overseeing the delivery of all construction services to insure construction excellence and service excellence for complete customer satisfaction.

Roger is a life long resident of Georgia who received his Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Management from Georgia Institute of Technology. Rogers Construction has been a member of Georgia Branch, AGC and The Associated General Contractors of America ever since it was founded by Roger’s father in 1961 and Roger has been actively involved at both the state and national level. He served several tenures on the AGC Board of Directors including his election as Treasurer, Vice President, and then Chapter President during the 2002-03 term. For the past eight years, Roger has served as a Board member of CompTrust AGC MCIC, the Chapter’s member-owned workers’ compensation program.

Roger has earned the reputation as a tireless advocate on behalf of the commercial construction industry. He continues to play major roles in numerous initiatives including the previous crafting of language that resulted in the state of Georgia’s lien laws, the development of the sound erosion control laws, and the recently enacted current contractor licensing requirements. For his efforts, he was appointed by Governor Perdue to serve as an inaugural member of the State Residential and General Contractor Licensing Board, ultimately serving as the first Chair of the General Contractor Division and then as Chair of the Board.

To honor Roger for his many business and industry accomplishments, in 2011 he received Georgia Branch, AGC’s prestigious SIR Award for his ability to exemplify what is meant by “Skill, Integrity and Responsibility.” This award recognizes his outstanding service and substantial contributions to the construction industry.
